Fall Packing List for Europe Ladies’ Edition!
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
Fall is probably my favorite time to travel to Europe. The summer crowds have gone home, the summer heat diminishes making walking around cities a dream and not a chore, the locals are relaxed after their August vacations and you can finally start wearing all those amazing fashionable fall clothes!
Fall is a time for lingering over a cappuccino in Rome in jeans and a jewel toned blouse while people watching as the locals shop at the markets or meet friends from an espresso. It is the time for afternoons in Paris, drinking champagne in Le Marais while wearing a chambray top and a midi skirt. Fall is meant for evenings in Greece in a burgundy dress as you dine in the shadow of the Parthenon. Fall is a dream in Europe and you want to make sure that you have the wardrobe to fit.
This is Our Ultimate Fall Packing List for Europe!
A Blouse
A Midi Skirt
It is no secret that I love midi skirts, just look at our Rome and Barcelona packing list, so you know one is going to make its way onto our fall packing list for Europe! Midi skirts are perfect for afternoons filled with sightseeing (where you won’t have to worry about the dress code for churches) and for evenings spent at a candlelit dinner. Midi skirts pair well with your staple blouse and even casual t-shirts. Grab this pleated white number for a touch of elegance and flair!
Striped Button Down
A striped button down is a classic piece that will serve you well throughout fashionable Europe. It is a classic for a reason after all. I love this twist on the striped button down which will catch eyes where ever you go in Europe from London to Berlin to Sofia to Athens and beyond!
A Blazer
Menswear is always cool to wear and honestly, a blazer should make its way into your wardrobe no matter the season (ok, maybe not summer…) and it is the perfect fall item to add to your packing list for Europe. Grab a lightweight blazer that you can throw over anything from a blouse to a tee to a lightweight sweater and you will be blending in in no time!
An Evening Dress
Going back to my love of jewel tones you know I had to include a deep burgundy dress for the evening. A flirty and fun evening dress is essential for any fall packing list for Europe. Throw on your blazer and some classic heels and you are ready to go!
A Cozy Cardigan
A stylish and cozy cardigan is a must while traveling around Europe. Look for something that is a bit oversized and personally I love a large knit in a bright mustard. Wear this cozy sweater with jeans or your midi skirt and a classic top!
A Jumpsuit
Sometimes fall feels more like summer in Europe so it is great to have a summer staple make it onto your packing list for Europe and in comes a jumpsuit. Look for a jumpsuit that can be dressed up or down and comes in a lightweight material for those warm fall days!
A Trench Coat
I live in this London Fog trench coat and it always makes my fall packing list for Europe and basically every other packing list. The best part about this trench coat is that it has a removable wool liner so that it works for all types of weather. Plus it always looks stylish!
Daytime Dress
Dresses are a must for your fall packing list for Europe. They are easy to pack, don’t take up too much space and look effortlessly chic. I love to bring both a more dressy option and a more casual option for daytime. This flirty and fun gingham dress is perfect for days of sightseeing and strolling the gardens of Paris, London, and Barcelona.
Jeans
Everyone needs to pack a good pair of jeans for fall in Europe. I personally, always like to throw in both a classic dark denim pair and a white pair. Jeans are probably the most versatile item you can add to your fall packing list for Europe and you won’t regret packing two pairs!
Fun Neutral Blouse
Just because your blouse is in a neutral color doesn’t mean it has to be boring. Bring along a fun neutral blouse like this color blocked peter pan collared blouse and you will find yourself catching eyes all over Europe!
Lightweight Sweater
When putting together your fall packing list for Europe it is all about layers and one item that should definitely be included is a lightweight sweater. Look for a crew neck sweater in a jewel toned color that you can layer over chambray or one of your blouses with jeans.
Heels
While I wouldn’t recommend heels for every destination in Europe, like Rome where the cobblestones are treacherous, there are certain places where I would bring them like Paris, London, Budapest, and more. It is up to you if you decide to bring them but I always love a classic black pair that will go with everything!
Slouchy White Tee
Comfort can be stylish and be sure to add a slouchy white tee that is both stylish and comfy to your fall packing list for Europe. Dress it up with jeans and a blazer or keep it casual with your mustard cardigan!
Rain Boots
Yes, it can rain in Europe in the fall so be sure to add some cute and stylish rain boots to your fall packing list for Europe. Fall can be a bit temperamental so it is always good to pack a pair of these rain boots that fold for easy packing!
Chambray
Chambray is one of my go to pieces in general and it makes it on all of my packing lists for Europe but especially for fall. It is the versatility of the piece that makes me always grab it. You can wear it on its own or as a light jacket or under a sweater plus it always looks good!
Loafers
Loafers are a classic pair of shoes and are a perfect final addition to your fall packing list for Europe. These shoes will be comfy for your days of sightseeing and stylish enough to go from day to night!
